Designed to prepare students for a career in film and television, OA Film Studio offers dynamic, professional training in the film industry.

This summer, we are engaging Manitoba film professionals (directors, DOPs, and more) to create a film a week with each group of students. Write, direct, produce, shoot – Students create their own films through quality mentorship with real professionals. 

Students will be dropped off between 9am and 9:55am to begin programming at 10:00am. Programming ends at 4pm.

The price is $475 plus GST per week, and we will invoice you with a link to pay online/instructions to e-transfer.

Two groups per week will be sharing the space at our studio, alternating between the upstairs and downstairs rooms.

Onalee Ames

Onalee Ames has been a dedicated member of the film industry for 25 years, spending much of her career in front of the camera as an actor in feature films and television. After returning to Winnipeg from Los Angeles, where she performed stand-up comedy, Onalee founded the Onalee Ames Film Studio. Since then, she has worked with over 4,000 students, helping them find their place in the acting community and thrive in the film industry. Onalee continues to pursue her passion for storytelling by writing screenplays and directing her own films.
