“You Are Your Own Story.”

Joey

Joey Harris was born in Chicago to Ukrainian-Canadian parents and has been performing in front of people in one way or another his whole life - from lip-synching to music at community club dances to performing in summer dinner theatre. “I’m a mixture of both an introvert and extrovert,” he says, “I get a rush performing in a show or before an audience.” He first became aware of Onalee Ames at an intro-session at Grand Beach, MB. “I walked in late, to a cold read, and I stayed. I have submitted a few audition reels since then. I’m getting better with each one. Right now, I am also taking the stand-up comedy class at the school.”

He continues to train at Onalee Ames Film Studio because he feels safe there. “There is no competition, only support. Onalee creates a culture where you aren’t scared to open up. I remember after a scene, I teared up. Onalee said, ‘You’re an actor now, you nailed it.’ That meant a lot.”

I would highly advise anybody who is interested to try it. What makes Onalee different is her ability to know each individual separately. She gets inside of you and brings out your best.
